Evaluation of PBL combined with PDCA teaching method in the clinical training of advanced interventional radiologists

Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the effectiveness of PBL combined with PDCA teaching method in the clinical training of advanced interventional radiologists.

Methods

26 advanced doctors in our department from January 2017 to October 2021 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, 13 in each group. The control group adopted PBL teaching method, while the experimental group adopted PBL combined with PDCA teaching method. Examination results and teaching feedback were gathered and analyzed.

Results

Compared with the control group, the experimental group achieved a significantly improved performance in theoretical knowledge and operating ability (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, the experimental group achieved a better teaching feedback.

Conclusions

PBL combined with PDCA teaching method can improve the effectiveness in the clinical training of advanced interventional radiologists.
