Application of various interventional techniques in cesarean section of pernicious placenta previa

Abstract

Abstract:

Catastrophic hemorrhage may occur during cesarean section of the pernicious placenta previa,leading to undesirable pregnancy outcomes such as hysterectomy, and severely endangering maternal life.. In the past two decades, procedures of interventional radiology, especially intra-arterial balloon occlusion performed in women with pernicious placenta previa, have been favored by obstetricians. This article reviews the application of various interventional techniques in cesarean section of pernicious placenta previa.
