Abstract:

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a special type of stroke. The risk factors and multiple clinical symptoms of the disease lead to being missed or misdiagnosed. Currently the best treatment for CVST is still controversial, as there are few studies on treatment guidelines. Anticoagulant therapy is an important method for the treatment of CVST. The high morbidity and mortality of this disease have promoted the development of endovascular interventional therapy. This article summarizes the progress of anticoagulant therapy and intravascular interventional therapy (thrombolytic therapy and endovascular mechanical thrombectomy therapy) in clinical treatment for the disease in order to improve the understanding of treatment, and to reduce the mortality and morbidity.

Key words: Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, Anticoagulant therapy, Thrombolytic therapy, Endovascular mechanical thrombectomy therapy
