Abstract:

Objective:

To compare the clinical effects of angioplasty combined with catheterized thrombolysis and conventional angioplasty in the treatment of lower extremity arterial occlusive disease.

Methods:

From January 2014 to December 2015, clinical data of 33 patients with lower extremity ASO treated by different ways were analyzed, including 18 cases with routine interventional therapy (routine group) and 15 ones with interventional and thrombolytic therapy (thrombolysis group) . The clinical results in two groups were analyzed and compared.

Results:

Technical success rates were 88.89% in routine group and 93.33% in thrombolysis group. The clinical total effective rate in thrombolysis group was higher than that of routine group (100% vs. 88.89%) . The ABI values in both groups were significantly increased after operation, and the increase rate of ABI in thrombolysis group was larger than that in routine group (P<0.05) . The complications about thrombosis of thrombolysis group were lower than those of routine group. After 3, 6, 12 and 24 months of operation, the primary patency rates were 83.33%, 83.33%, 72.22% and 62.50% respectively in routine group, and 100%, 100%, 80.00% and 71.43% respectively in thrombolysis group. The primary patency in the thrombolysis group was much better than that in the routine group.

Conclusion:

For patients with ASO, the value of interventional treatment combined with thrombolysis is better than that of only routine interventional option.
