Research progress on endovascular treatment for ruptured intracranial aneurysms in elderly patients

Abstract:

With the improvement of people's living standard and the prolongation of average life span, China has entered an aging society. There are more chronic diseases in the elderly, and the diagnosis and treatment of related diseases are difficult and intractable. Especially in cerebrovascular disease, patients are taking aspirin or platelets for a long time. The incidence of intracranial aneurysms bleeding is increasing in the elderly. It seriously threatens the health and quality of life of the elderly. This article reviews the progress of endovascular embolization for intracranial aneurysms in the elderly.
