Research progress of carotid atherosclerotic stenosis rabbit model for interventional therapy

Abstract:

Cerebral atherosclerotic stenosis is an important etiology for cerebrovascular diseases. In recent years, researchers are constantly exploring animal models that can simulate the human cerebral atherosclerosis process, to verify the therapeutic effect of the cerebral atherosclerosis stenosis treatments. This article reviewed the modeling methods of rabbit carotid atherosclerotic stenosis model, and give comments on the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly used modeling methods for rabbit carotid atherosclerotic stenosis models. Provides suggestions for the establishment of rabbit carotid atherosclerosis stenosis model suitable for interventional angioplasty study.
