Abstract:
This paper reports the nursing care of a patient with left internal carotid artery occlusion complicated with cerebral infarction and cerebral arteriosclerosis underwent digital subtraction angiography (DSA) guided "internal carotid endarterectomy plus balloon thrombectomy plus arterioplasty". The nursing care focuses on preparation of articles, posture management, vital signs observation, index monitoring, pipeline management, body temperature management, operation cooperation and patient psychological care. The patient was transferred to ICU 11 hours after operation, and to the general ward 2 days later, and was discharged smoothly 10 days after operation. Carotid endarterectomy is one of the effective measures to prevent and treat ischemic stroke. Good perioperative nursing is helpful to reduce surgical complications, improve surgical efficacy and benefit patients.
