Abstract:
Objective To summarize the main points and experience of DSA technologists during trans-femoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Methods A total of 95 cases about TAVR procedure were selected from January 2018 to June 2021 in the first Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University. Clinical data and technical cooperation during procedures were retrospectively analyzed.
Results There were 3 cases of cine exposure failure and 4 cases of contrast agents injection failure in all procedures. All the problems were successful solved in time.
Conclusions There needs to be more emphasis placed on the importance of the DSA technologist's practices such like preoperative preparation, strict aseptic techniques, radiation protection practices, understanding of the operative steps, collaboration, teamwork, and communication, especially as effective cooperation at the stages of balloon dilation and the release of valve stent during TAVR procedure.
