The T-tube approach Basket catheter Treatment Of biliary cast syndrome After Liver Transplantation

Abstract:

Objective

The purpose of the study are evaluated the efficacy of biliary cast syndrome treatment with basket catheter from T-tube approach after liver transplantation.

Methods

39 biliary cast syndrome patients who had the T-tube approach basket catheter treatment between Jan 2008 and May 2013 were studied. All patients had diagnose by T-tube cholangiography. Patients who had stenosis have balloon dilation in same tiome.

Results

29 patients had completely cast removal, 10 patients had premodinantly cast removal.6 patients had repeat treatment because of cast recur. 3 patients had cholangiolitis after treatment.

Conclusion

The T-tube approach basket cathter treatment is a relatively safe procedure with a low complication rate.
