Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effects of Ni-Ti alloy stent on the low density lipoprotein (LDL) transcytosis process in human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) and underlying mechanism.

Methods

①Culturing the HUVEC and use transwell to establish in vitro transcytosis model, simulating the endothelial cell monolayer of blood vessels. ②Puting the Ni-Ti alloy stent on the HUVEC, adding LDL labeled by fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), culturing for 4 h and 24 h. ③By measuring the fluorescencent intensity of FITC in and out of the chamber to reflect the changes of transcytosis of LDL, investigating the effect of the Ni-Ti alloy stent on the LDL transcytosis process.

Results

The Ni-Ti alloy stent increase the transcytosis in 3 h and 24 h.

Conclusions

Using the trancytosis model constituted by LDL and HUVEC, Ni-Ti alloy stent can promote the trancytosis of LDL.
