Perioperative nursing of internal iliac artery balloon occlusion in dangerous placenta previa cesarean section

Abstract:

Objective

To summarize the perioperative care experience of the application of internal iliac artery balloon occlusionin cesarean section for pernicious placenta previa.

Methods

Sixteen patients with pernicious placenta previa underwent balloon occlusionin of the internal iliac artery were given perioperative management, including preoperative psychological care, multidisciplinary assessment, preoperative preparation and condition observation, intraoperative radiation exposure risk protection and balloon catheter nursing, postoperative condition observation, limb observation and nursing care.

Results

All 16 pregnant women underwent balloonocclusionof internal iliac artery and cesarean section. There were no complications related to surgical.The newborns were in good condition at birth.

Conclusions

Through the fine care intervention, the prognosis of cesarean section of aggressive placenta previa with internal iliac artery balloon occlusioncan be improved, providing reference for clinical work.
