To explore the risk factors of the first diagonal branch plaque by MSCT

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the risk factors of the first diagonal branch plaque by using Multisilice spiral CT.

Methods

A total of 94 patients with coronary heart disease who both underwent coronary computer tomography angiography (CCTA) and coronary angiography in our hospital were collected from May 2017 to May 2020. 48 cases with plaques at the ostium of the first diagonal branch were included in the experimental group and 46 cases without plaques at the ostium of the first diagonal branch were served as the control group. Blood pressure, stenosis severity and blood flow velocity of the left anterior descending artery (LAD), the bifurcation angle between LAD and the first diagonal branch were compared between two groups, and the correlation between the above factors and the first diagonal branch ostial plaque were analysed.

Results

There were significant statistical differences (P < 0.05) between the two groups in blood pressure, stenosis severity and blood flow velocity of LAD, the angle between LAD and the first diagonal branch. LAD stenosis severity and blood pressure were risk factors for the first diagonal branch ostial plaque, and the OR values were 1.030 and 1.128 respectively.

Conclusions

LAD stenosis severity and blood pressure were risk factors for the first diagonal branch ostial plaque formation.With the increasing of blood pressure and LAD stenosis severity, the incidence rate of the first diagonal branch ostial plaque increased.
