Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the efficacy and safety of the pigtail catheter winding method under DSA-guided to adjust the ectopic infusion port catheter.

Methods

From October 2014 to March 2021, the clinical data of 13 patients with ectopic infusion port catheter treated under DSA were retrospectively analyzed, including 9 cases of ipsilateral internal jugular vein, 2 cases of ipsilateral subclavian vein and 2 cases of contralateral cephalo brachial vein. Among them, 12 cases were adjusted with pigtail catheter winding method, and 1 case was not adjusted. The success rate and safety of the technique were evaluated. The follow-up time was 6 months.

Results

12 cases of ectopic catheters were successfully adjusted,and1 case was found to have a target blood vessel thrombus during angiography, and the operation was terminated. No complications occurred in 13 cases.

Conclusion

The pigtail catheter winding method under DSA was safe and effective to adjust the ectopic infusion port catheter.
