Abstract:

Lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(LEDVT) is a peripheral vascular disease, which has a high incidence and can cause serious complications, including the fatal pulmonary embolism. Without prompt diagnosis and treatment in the acute stage, LEDVT can cause acute and chronic complications and even death. Medical imaging technology can accurately show the scope and staging of thrombosis. With the development of interventional strategies, such as catheter directed thrombolysis, percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy, percutaneous transluminal angioplasity, they provide a minimally invasive and effective method for treatment of LEDVT. This review will introduce and sum up the latest development of the interventional technology in the treatment of Lower extremity deep venous thrombosis.
