Clinical effect of interventional method combined with curettage for the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy bleeding

Objective

To investigate the clinical effect of interventional therapy combined with curettage for the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy bleeding.

Methods

Retrospective analysis was performed to analyze the clinical data of 32 cases of cesarean scar pregnancy in our hospital from March 2012 to March 2014.

Results

Among 32 cases, bleeding occurred during abortion in 5 cases because diagnosis not confirmed before the procedure. The interventional method of uterine arterial embolization, was combined with curettage treatment after the embolization. Uterine arterial embolization followed by curettage was performed in the 27 cases with confirmed diagnosis. No bleeding phenomenon occurred, and uterus was preserved in all the cases.

Conclusions

Hemorrhage is most likely to occur in patients with CSP. UAE combined with curettage is effective and safe method to treat CSP.
