Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the feasibility and efficacy of interventional therapy for diabetic patients with lower extremity arterial occlusive disease.

Methods

to analyze the clinical data of 32 patients with lower limb ischemia treated by interventional therapy(percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, PTA) in our hospital.

Results

The primary patency rate of 6,12,24 months was(83.6±5.1)%, (56.4±6.8)%, (48.3±8.2)%; secondary patency rate of 6, 12, 24 months was (89.3±4.1)%, (78.6±5.7)%, (64.8±7.3)%. The limb survival rate of 6,12,24 months was(89.3±3.2)%, (85.7±4.8)%, (82.2±5.5)% respectively, all decreased with follow-up time.

Conclusions

Percutaneous revascularization is a new method to treat chronic lower limb ischemia with the advantages of less trauma, complications and low mortality.
