Abstract:
Objective To explore the value of stenosis or occlusion of head and neck vessels with 64-rows 128-slice CT subtraction angiography.
Methods 64-rows 128-slice CT subtraction angiography were performed in 92 patients, images were analyzed by VR, Reformat and CPR software to acquire information of stenosis or occlusion of head and neck vessels, plaque character and correlation between vessel stenosis and cerebral infarction.
Results Different extent stenosis or occlusion of vessels was found in 65 among 92 suspected patients, mainly including vessel stenosis with middle and high degree; atherosclerotic plaques were observed in 113 vessels, there was significant statistical difference in calcified plaque, enhanced blood and sclerotized plaque (P<0.01); there was correlation between incidence of carotid artery stenosis and middle cerebral artery stenosis in infarction side and that in non-infarction side (both P<0.05).
Conclusion 64-rows 128-slice CT subtraction angiography can accurately evaluate stenosis or occlusion of head and neck vessels and plaque character, and can provide valuable information for choice of treatment.
